Firearms and projectiles
Guns, replicas, air guns, bows, harpoons and slingshots are forbidden in the cabin and security restricted areas.
Restricted items
Do not pack prohibited items in cabin or checked baggage. Prescription medicines with an authentic label are exempt.
For the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft, the following items are prohibited or restricted on all Ceiba Intercontinental flights. Do not pack them in carry-on or checked baggage.
Medicinal articles are exempt for passengers holding a prescription with an authentic professionally printed label that identifies the medical office, pharmacy or manufacturer.
Without prejudice to applicable safety rules, passengers may not carry the listed articles into security restricted areas or on board, on their person or in cabin baggage. Items seized at the boarding gate by local authorities may not be returned, depending on local rules.
Sharp objects and tools
Knives, scissors over 6 cm, axes, razor blades, drills, saws and similar tools cannot be taken into the cabin.
Explosives
Ammunition, fireworks, detonators, mines, dynamite and imitation explosive devices are prohibited.
Dangerous goods
HAZMAT classes 1 to 9 are not accepted as cabin, checked baggage or on the person unless Ceiba approves them.
1. Guns, firearms and devices that discharge projectiles
- Firearms of all types: pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns
- Toy guns, replicas and imitation firearms
- Firearm components, excluding telescopic sights
- Compressed air and CO2 guns, pellet and ball bearing guns
- Signal flare and starter pistols
- Bows, crossbows and arrows
- Harpoon and spear guns
- Slingshots and catapults
2. Stunning devices
- Stun guns, tasers, stun batons and similar devices
- Animal stunners and animal killers
- Mace, pepper, capsicum, tear gas, acid and animal-repellent sprays
3. Objects with a sharp point or edge
- Axes, hatchets and cleavers
- Ice axes and ice picks
- Razor blades and box cutters
- Knives with blades of more than 6 cm
- Scissors with blades of more than 6 cm from the fulcrum
- Martial arts equipment with a sharp point or edge
- Swords and sabres
4. Workmen’s tools
- Crowbars
- Drills and drill bits, including cordless power drills
- Tools with a blade or shaft of more than 6 cm, such as screwdrivers and chisels
- Saws, including cordless power saws
- Blowtorches, bolt guns and nail guns
5. Blunt instruments
- Baseball, cricket and softball bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, billiard cues
- Clubs and batons, including billy clubs, blackjacks and night sticks
- Martial arts equipment
6. Explosives and incendiary substances
- Ammunition
- Blasting caps, detonators and fuses
- Replica or imitation explosive devices
- Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores
- Fireworks and other pyrotechnics
- Smoke-generating canisters and cartridges
- Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives
7. Other prohibited articles
Ceiba Intercontinental also prohibits any other article which, in the reasonable view of the aerodrome manager or aircraft operator, might be used or adapted to injure or incapacitate a person. Prohibited items seized at the boarding gate by local authorities may not be returned.

These goods are not allowed as checked baggage, cabin baggage or on the person on Ceiba flights unless the airline has given approval.
